Following
on from it's successful launch in 2010
The Start range continues.
The Start range was introduced in 2010 with slightly different track that
enables more complex circuits in less space, a speed limiter on each throttle
and simple cheap cars but it still remains compatable with normal
Sport track (using a converter) and with normal cars.
The Start and Sport systems are still compatible
with a very reasonably priced converter track you can join to Sport
Scalextric track and even to original Classic track.
Digital
Control perhaps the biggest leap forward for many years.
Digital uses the same track as standard Scalextric but the powerbase is
different
and the cars have to be fitted with a decoder.
With a Digital set the complete track is alive and you can drive your
car anywhere
on the track, even change lanes and overtake, racing with up to 4 cars
or 6 cars if
you extend with the new 6 car powerbase.
Most new cars this year will be Digital Plug Ready
making
it a simple job to convert to Digital.
