Train Sets for 2008
All sets are inclusive of track, mains transformer, loco and rolling stock.

Every set includes a Track Mat to aid planning your layout.
But beware, there are now three track mats in use, the simplest mat supplied in the new small sets is called the midi mat, new larger sets for this year have R8217 track mat (same as the Thomas mat) and older sets still use the original track mat. If you are with me so far, make sure you specify which track mat you have to be sure you have the correct track extension pack. To confuse you even more the diffent track packs are still referred to by letters A to F so at the moment there are two Track Packs A.

If in doubt please ask.

All sets have at least the basic oval of track, extra track may then be purchased seperately,
or in Track Packs if you wish to follow the suggested plan on your Track Mat.
A Track Plan book is available if you intend to construct other layouts,
or why not use the Hornby Virtual Railway 2 software on your PC,
this allows you to plan your layout, add buildings, scenery and accessories,
render it in 3D and then watch the trains run, (far more advanced than the first CD)
